The little brown flowers that grow on the sun

The little brown flowers that grow on the sun is a workless piece of work created for an exhibition of young contemporary art in Leeds shopping centre in the recession struck TK Maxx discount store. The exhibition was curated by Derek Horton and Chris Bloor in association with Leeds Metropolitan University. The opening of the show was on the eve of announcements concerning public arts funding cuts in the UK. The work displayed was just a title, the physical work was cut from the show and thrown away, a few minutes before the opening.
